School workers, new and old, have multiple different philosophies on 'classroom management,' with numerous strategies for giving students directions, keeping them on task. learning together and meeting social-emotional needs. What does power and authority have to do with it? How are 'authority' and 'power' different from each other and/or similar? A fun musical video from many years ago provides an opportunity for a lighter conversation about how authority/power dynamics play out in the classroom.
